Zoffany paper


A Zoffany paper this time, Gustavus “Eleonora“, nearly 40 rolls in this large Hall, Stairwell & Landing.
After the previous wallpaper was stripped off, the walls were primed with Zinsser Guardz wall primer to stop the flaky emulsion paint (which is what the paper is being stuck to! ) coming away from the wall due to moisture from the drying paper. This was then lined with 1000 grade liner, and only then hung with paper. Seems like a lot of work, but I wouldn’t hang a paper of this quality without adequate preparation.
Having said that, like other good quality papers its pretty easy to hang, in contrast to some cheaper papers which can be a nightmare
