Kitchen Cabinets

I painted kitchens for expensive traditional English painted kitchens producer- Robinson & Cornish - for many years. They are now based in Germany, but I still paint for Howard Wilson Robinson, some other smaller hand-made kitchen cabinet-makers, and also refurbish tired-looking cabinets .

Your hand-made kitchen deserves an absolutely first class hand-painted finish in the best quality paints available.

  • Newly installed hand-made kitchens are finished with a minimum of four coats of top quality primers and top coats.
  • Existing hand-made kitchens lovingly restored to "as new".
  • "Mass-produced" type kitchens can be painted but it depends on the level of durability required. These kitchens usually have an industrial paint or lacquer finish that is sometimes difficult or expensive to refinish to make a top quality job. They may require stripping first, and even then, the substrate might be some sort of veneer or foil not ideal for painting. On this type of kitchen it is often cheaper simply to use standard replacement doors, which can of course be plain wooden or MDF ones which can then be painted. I am happy to use adhesion promoting primers to do a quick make-over, but I CANNOT GUARANTEE THE DURABILITY OF THE FINISH.
